Would it be possible to have a marker next to the thread names in the forums that has an icon whenever an important person replies? Such as a 'I' or gold star or something whenever Intelli replies to a thread, a red 'A' when another Admin replies and a blue 'M' when a moderator responds? It would make it easier to sift through the threads looking for replies from people in higher positions.

We've gotten fine without it before, why add it now?

If you frequent the forums enough or play the game enough you should know who the VIP users are. Also listed under everyones avatar is a post count, this is an indication towards who is active on the forums.

The problem with that is that there are some high-level(not exactly the best words but as close as I can get) people who are not actually staff members, so if this was done the staff would have to rate the relative power of pretty much everyone.

Plus, when searching for staff posts you can just search for a members posts. Or you could just ask an admin about the rule/thing in question.

However when i browse an idea/suggestion forums, or the bans forums, or any other forums, i can instantly see that a moderator has replied to a thread, or intelli himself. If there is a thread on, say portal camping or logging during pvp i can see a moderator or admin, whos words are pretty much the word of god here and see official standings, there are other respected people in the community we listen to, but since they arent mods or admins what they say usually amounts to advice, not the rules. Plus i wouldnt feel like a stalker if i constantly stalked shamps account here to see what hes been posting on :shock:

click the "User Control Panel" and you will see "important annoucements"

Now, im not sure if this covers all posts though. :-/
