Seeing as there's a section specifically for people with ideas and/or suggestions,
I thought I might throw out one of my own.

Now, before continuing, lets clear something up. This isn't me raging because I've been banned. It's a
sincere suggestion that I think would benefit the relations between the real members of the
minerealm community and the minerealm staff. When I say "real", I'm only trying to exclude those who
simply get on the server to blatantly break the rules.

I was reading some posts, gathering the general consensus of what is expected of those who are banned,
due to a mishap on their part, and choose to post an appeal. Basically, they're asked to be an adult about
their mistake and fess up. Admit that they were wrong and express their apologies for said mistake and
state that there was some lesson learned, implying their past mistake will stay behind them.

While reasonable for most, I think the staff needs to remember that they're, in a nut shell, asking 10 to 14
year old kids to instantly grow up. Also, asking someone who's just been shunned from a community
NOT to lash out. I mean, I would think that any normal person would want to lash out, right? It's a
typicall response. Of course, I know you know this, and is exactly why you expect
it. I think you, the admin, need to often remind yourselves that there are people on this server who
understand what proper behavior actually is. Remind yourself, that not all of us are racist slur, swear
shooting, rage infesting tweens. We just just tripped up and kind of look like one, now.

I can almost guarantee, if this is "implemented", that the process of keeping those who deserve to
be on the server, on the server, will become much more satisfying.

I like this.

However, I'm 14 and I didn't really "lash out," on all the ignorant posts ramien123 and aguy130 falsely made. They may have been wrong about almost everything they said on my ban appeal, but it didn't make me go "z0mg no way CAPS RAGE!" A lot of younger members on this server demonstrate perfect maturity and could easily be mistaken for an adult.

^ A tad off topic. However, I think if the Community was more distinctly separated from the Staff then we wouldn't have the problem of pre-pubescent imbeciles spamming up ban appeals with slander and spam. Just my opinion.

*EDIT* Same goes for Applications of any nature. I noticed on a few applications that people tend to say things that don't have literal impact with a sense of false-entitlement. (Much like on Flanny's app though it could be perceived roughly as constructive criticism) Just because you make your opinion pretty and literate; doesn't make you right. (i.e. you can polish a turd but it's still a piece of crap).

Well, now seeing what you were implying my above post was a bit inaccurate towards the topic. However, I still stand by that opinion.

I couldn't agree more.

I'm 15, and even when I was 14 I was perfectly capable of being responsible and calm in situations such as these. There is nothing here which needs to be changed with the banning system... Except perhaps the prioritization of older appeals.

If people are going to lash out then why do we want them playing here. If they lash out, good it shows us who is willing to change their perception and try to improve to get back on or the people who lash out and are just too lazy or ignorant to decide approach it with the calm and controlled way they should be.

I completely agree with this.

Huh. I had no idea people were that young on this server. I mean I'm 17 but it's still a difference. Kudos to you 14 and 15 year olds who are able to speak as eloquently as adults.

Anyway, I support this.
