Since animals will no longer re-spawn in all Minecraft versions after 1.9 might I suggest we find a way to protect animals within a realm from taking damage from players who are not part of that realm. A problem arises though, with the "animals follow people who are holding wheat" thing people could lure animals out of the realm to their death. Post your ideas on helping to protect animals from grifers (come on you know its going to happen griefers love to cause stress to other players). If something isn't put into place the world may become devoid of animals @_@ wouldn't that be horrible? So please help come up with a way to protect our animal friends!

Animals don't re-spawn as it is presently.

Edit: Rarely, that is. And I don't think it's changing.

Dont we have the same problems then (but i think they do respawn cause my animals keep coming back, and i live in a giant walled area) Just sayin

Edit: well if they do stop respawning (which i belive has been stated several times) it could be a problem. I guess we just have to wait and see *shrugs* thought id try to think ahead

I think part of the fun is trying to find the rare spawning animals for both leather, meat and wool, then selling the items on to make money. I think it should stay the way it is imo.

Put em in a cage...? If it's in your realm, people can't get in.

I dunno....maybe see about tweaking the time it takes for mobs to despawn when nobody is around? That way we get more mob turnover.
