New rule suggestions: Killing and looting

In Minerealm, people fight all the time. In my mind it's considered fun and honorable to do. If it is a fair fight, the victor can reek the rewards, as it says in the rules, but I think I've found a loophole between fighting and then taking the rewards. In the rules it doesn't mention anything about how a player can be killed of an unfair or cheap attack, resulting in sudden death and then the killer takes that dead persons belongings. Before I said that in Minerealm, people fight for honor, then reek the rewards. Why should someone who kills someone without any honor have the right to take the dropped items. This should be put into the rules that "Anyone who is found guilty of killing a person in a way regarding no or little honor/respect, and then steals their dropped belongs should be given a warning, or punishment of some sort.."
I personally have been killed in this way. I had just come out from a portal and then immediately I was killed by a guy with a diamond sword behind it. My entire inventory was taken. I looked in the rules to see what I could do that could get this person to pay, but I could find anything. To me it seems unfair that people should loose all there inventory to thieves who have no respect or honor.

No. It's obsoluty fair. You have the choice of pvp and the nether is meant to be dangerous. Next time, weigh the risks before entering the nether.
Also, it's reap... Not reek.

And how are you gonna prove this? Who decideds what's a 'fair' kill?
It's gonna cause a load more drama and work for the mods, so I doubt this is gonna happen.

It should be noted there seems to be an issue where pvp remains on after leaving the Nether.

If you have PvP manually turned on or you go in the nether, the risks are yours to deal with.
EDIT: Worth noting that, if you have PvP on when you log out, it seems to still be on the next time you log in. Just a friendly reminder.

If you have pvp on you should be ready to be attacked at ANY time. If you are carrying valuables, you should turn off pvp

Although it might be "cheap" as you said, once you enter the nether, you can be killed. If you aren't prepared to deal with all the ways to die, don't go to there.

There is no such thing as a fair and honorable fight when lag is involved.

This. ^
I've experienced many "Duels," at Shamp's Diner, and I'm so far the Grand Champion. But in the duration of these many duels, I've been defeated while it was raining (epic lag), and when sword hits didn't register because of lag. No one is able to make a legitimate claim on what a "Fair Fight," is, because the server has so many people on it that our intentions should be selling/collecting, not fighting.
My opinion: Just don't deal with the fighting, it's 100% optional. Just go mining, and sell stuff. What happens when you do that? You don't get killed randomly by someone, in fact you don't get killed at all... So I truly don't see the problem here. You have the choice of turning PvP on and going into the nether
for a reason...

yes entering the nether is risky, and it's fair game to be attacked while in there, but I only found out yesterday that if you are attacked in the nether your /pvp is switched on BUT it is NOT automatically turned off once you LEAVE the nether... I'm sure a lot of others won't know this either. and I think it's unfair because once you leave you should be safe from pvp attackers, but now someone can just sit there at a portal waiting for people to come out and then kill them and take their stuff... that should be illegal pvp imho
