There's nothing preventing lowly peasants from getting realms now. Only a tiny fraction of the available realms are owned. Anyone can go and mine to get credits and take their pick of the vast areas of free space.

I completely agree with one exception. The "lowly pesants" have worked hard for the few realm credits they have, however, there are some cases of people who have between 75k-100k credits and could easily buy themselves a HUGE chunk of land when a wipe happens. Here's my idea, let anyone with under 5,000 realm credits keep theirs, however if anyone has more than that, wipe theirs entirely. This sort of goes along the lines of the meek will inherit the earth, or
what goes up must come down.
(By the way, I do have plenty of credits so i'm not saying this just to be greedy)

I'd say it sort of goes along the lines of 'The more you work, the more you DESERVE to lose'. Peasants with under 5k have worked hard indeed, but simply nowhere near as hard as other people. I personally play casually, and yet I've got two realms and a few k to spare entirely of my own work. And other people have done a hell of a lot more than I have. Wiping everybody's credits when they could easily be preserved is a punishment for, in some cases, many weeks of hard effort. Anyone who can't afford one single realm need only put in a few more hours to earn one.

Wipe realms, keep credits but wait till official release.
