Unknown console command

When someone does a typo, or more relevantly, a clueless newbie types a non-existent command into chat, there is an error message:
Unknown console command. Type "help" for help.
Typing in <help> (without the <>) obviously displays <help> in chat, so does <"help">. I think this should say:
Unknown console command. Type "/help" for help.

I think we have enough spam in chat as it is.
I agree that the help interface could be more robust.

In all honesty we don't really need a help menu, if people read the signs at spawn and then took a look at the foxhole tutorial which is very clearly signposted then everyone would be fine. As for improving the help menu itself it would be very hard to do without creating a popup system which people can open and close at any time.
This last idea would of course never happen because we are a vannilla server and a change like that would be a core mechanics change, and would possibly require client side modding too

A help menu is hardly a core mechanics change. If it were, why do we have any help at all?

It is not but a pop out menu would be.

We need a help menu for quick reference to Minerealm's commands, and it is much easier to type "/help" than to go to spawn, go to the Foxtops area, and comb through the many signs posted up just to find the single command that you're looking for.
As for the idea presented in the OP, I don't think that this is a major problem. It might get changed, but it's nothing to make a big deal about.

I do agree, I considered putting it in the bug report thread, it's a very small and insignificant issue.
I don't know why so many players don't read the signs at spawn. Whenever I find a sign, I usually will read it out of interest.
