nether glitch rule

i think that a new rule should be put into place stating that:
near a nether portal you must provide at least 2 block by 2 block space, on the normal world for people to exit and turn back around and enter the nether again.
this is a good rule as it has made me get stuck in this glitch alot of times.
i am writing this in stead of playing on my favourite server minerealm because i am stuck in a nether portal at the coordinates:
X: 121
Y: 67
Z: 1722
F: 0
can an intel or the owner of the house at this location please help me
please

When you glitch into a portal you cannot type commands in any way. You can't even use pause Minecraft. The only possible way to get out of it is to either be ported out by an admin, or relying on another glitch to get yourself out. The glitch of course is nearly impossible to use in most circumstances. Sometimes you can regain control of chat commands by relogging, but that in itself seems to be random. While I think it'd be a useful rule, it'd be annoying to enforce. The portal glitch can be fixed by sheer persistence, but I agree it's a pain in the neck to try.

Yes, it's an annoying glitch. A good way to avoid this is to not use portals that aren't yours.

So you're a noob? Or do you magically have the ability to pick where you end up when leaving the nether? Dumbass.

Pretty sure he meant to only use portals that you know are safe. I for one follow that rule, and it hasn't failed me yet.

Bah, I always use the same portal to exit the nether. I have NEVER returned to the portal I entered through. As more portals are made in the overworld, there is no gaurantee you'll ever end up where you planned.

THANK YOU! i fully support this idea as a rule. what do people believe that covering their portal will accomplish anyways?

I don't see anything wrong with giving people space to turn around it's a bit annoying.
We have a big room offering anyone who slips in our gate enough room to turn around even if there driving a school bus from the nether. Wouldn't hurt to offer a tiny space for people to turn back around as for making it a rule there so many rules as is with servers I could see this being a pain for mods/admins to reinforce. The better thing to do would be to speak with fellow players and talk to them about why a turn around space would be nice. Just my two cents.

I think having no turn around room in a gate should be encouraged. You wander through a strange gate, you should have a chance of being punished. Seems perfectly reasonable to me.
