PvP at Night

I always thought that a big part of the Minerealm 2.0 was its PvP, I found the aspect of the game incredibly fun and engaging. Since 3.0 PvP has died, it only really happens in duels or when people willingly go into the nether. This has also meant the death of Realm wars, a brilliant system for PvP which created an incentive for realms to be the best and allowed them to show that they were better.

If we activated PvP during night time within public realms then it could bring life back to the PvP scene and provide a more challenging aspect of game play to the currently safe aspect of walking in the darkness (Because of the lack of monsters).

Obviously this would take some coding and time to do but I do think that it will improve the game in the long run.

I like this idea... Sort of...

I like PvP and sometimes, I am actually kind of good at it. But I don't think this should be implemented.

Reasons:
1. If people are building, they could be killed and lose their materials. (I'm not talking about in private realms)
2. A lot of the time, there is lots of lag and when people are fighting, it is hard to keep track of them because of the lag.

This could be good though. It would make the server a lot more fun, if there was less lag.

1. If people do not want to fight and do not have a private realm yet then they should really be far away from spawn so unlikely to be found. If this is not the case a combination of /spawn at night and /home for the day time would work.

2. I do understand that this could be a big issue but hopefully it will be overcome, since the new server I have been noticing al ot less lag and the amount of new players is ever decreasing.

Kojai, you obviously aren't part of the minecraft late night/early day shift. Otherwise you would know that we have giant pvp fights at spawn on a regular basis. Oh and by the way kojai, the reasons this won't happen is because this is forcing people to fight in an area that is usually protected, also known as spawn, and the coding and scripting would take up Intelli's otherwise much more valuable time, and would likely cause considerable lag.

You say that all my Ideas would cause lag and take too long to code, including the deaths on the realm rankings however there was no trouble in the implementation of that when it was released...

Fighting wouldnt happen in spawn because the area is privately owned, and no I do not play Minecraft during those times because I am EU.

I don't say all your ideas cause lag, I just say that to the ideas that actually will cause lag and waste intelli's time, I also don't say they'll take to long, I just say that they're a waste of Intelli's valuable time. Also you didn't ask for death counts, you asked for a KD ratio, which can be found out using simple math, and intelli even shot that down for being a waste of time. Another thing, a lot of the spawn plots are forced public, atleast until the auction begins and after that happens, I'm sure there won't be a public realm within a 1000 block radius of spawn, also making your idea pretty useless, and another source of lag we don't need. One last thing, this idea would most likely cause lag and take valuable time from intelli to script, use your head kojai. It's a good idea, just bad execution. If you really want giant pvp fights, just make another nether portal right infront of spawn waterfall, god knows people love to bum rush inside.

I agree to disagree. This is a great idea, kill a couple morons that piss me off every Minerealm night. A new player comes in to the realm for the first time, happens to be night, and an idiot at the spawn kills them within thirty seconds of joining Minerealm, now that is a bad and a good idea. The good part to this ^ is that maybe new players would rage and leave the server because they just get killed, making the population of Minerealm potentially less which gets rid of lag and their are less babies on the server who need Mods to hold their hand, teach them to read (signs at the spawn), teach them to walk (to public land) teach them everything that they COULD FIGURE OUT ON THEIR OWN if they even bothered spending 5 minutes to figure it out. But, this also gives griefers ONE MORE tool to be as annoying to the server as possible. (If one of idiot griefers grabs hold of a diamond sword and some armor, know thats like a terrorist with a bomb strapped to his stomach, but the terrorist is the biggest retarded fool to ever walk Minerealm, know thats dangerous)

He is not a griefer if he is PvP'ing? Also people should be intelligent enough to be safe on a Night-time by warping to spawn over night or simply owning a territory.

EDIT: Additionally the system would be written about within the spawn building, those that die due to not reading the information provided would be at their own fault.
