With the sudden rush of players I'm sick of "500 iron for 500 credits plz"
so I have been thinking of a trade chat, this is how it works:

When you type /trade chat you join the public trade chatroom, to type in the public trade chatroom put /t before you put in your message, another idea is /create private trade which you can make a private trade chatroom to invite people to.
Before you say "Oi, there is a forum thread ya know!" I do realise that however some people don't feel like going off the game and making a forum thread that nobody will reply to because the trade forum is pretty dead.

If I remember correctly, we used to have a trade chat and it was abused horribly. Mostly people just talked in it because it made their text stand out more.

I think I remember something along those lines, what I'm think we should do is be able to disable and enable it. I just want this to get these damn trade request out of the way, so I will be disabling it.
As long as somebody is moderating it and telling people to keep the Trade chat for trades I think it will be ok.

Hey, I remember this. I thought it was pretty pointless, although a nice idea, as it just made trade chats more noticeable.

With your system and the opting-in, almost no one would be in the trade chat. I think trading would be much harder. Maybe make players have the trade chat enabled by default on login?

The private trade room is an interesting idea. Maybe you could import your current party into the trade room with /trade import. Also, having an automated auction feature would be really cool!

Why not just make it so the chat swaps to a different channel? So the trade chat doesn't show up on the global chat?
