Now i know that when you post, you can choose for the option of being notified if someone responds to one of your posts. However, that as i believe is sent to you email address. As i am not a person who frequently checks my emails, i was wondering if a possibility could be that the notifications were maybe accessible from the website. Possibly on the toolbar down the bottom, near the other buttons could be a idea. Something similar to facebook notifications, if you know what i mean.

Now i have no idea how hard this could be to implement into the website, and it is just an idea. But i thought i may as well just say it, and see if people liked the idea.

I like the sound of this. I haven't the slightest idea about your Facebook comparison, but the concept seems good. I rarely ever use (Never on this forum) the notification system, mainly because I check the forums on a much more frequent basis than my E-mail. Sometimes I only want to browse through the few select threads that seem important. I know I'd use it, but I don't know if it'd be as useful to everyone else.

I was on a forum a while back. It had a toolbar which had a Settings button, Favorites button (thread related), friends button (forum friends), and a Notifications button. It was a perfect set up and I liked it a lot. Very convenient. I like this idea.
