Animals can still be pushed and get attached to leads, and horses can receive saddles and be mounted on private plots.
I'd rather not bring up the real reason because you'd call me paranoid. Bulldog already alluded to it.

When I talk about keeping a redstone circuit private, this would be to obfuscate it so that you don't know how it works. An example would be a combination lock where you want to keep the combination private or a casino or guessing game where you want to hide the answer.

Also, mob farms.

Eah why not just accept this as a challenge rather than always complaining (like with the Mist) Instead of having new game mechanics surgically removed I think we should adapt to them.

Finally 1.9 arrived, I don't know anymore how long we waited for this one, and Intelli reacted super quick and updated the server for all of us.

Now you want him to change the code even though you know this will entail a lot of work on his behalf with all the testing and trial and error involved. I think that I can safely say that the MineRealm community would much rather that he spend his precious time scripting and coding MineRealm v5.

In your argumentation you speak of "rationales" and "primary purposes" and what "you imagine" to be the purpose behind this mechanics as well as the intent of other players. You also write you dont want to seen as paranoid? Well...

If you really see this as such an intrusion on your gameplay then pick up the gauntlet:

- Alter your redstone so its are more "item-in-hopper" dependant, which no one can detect.
- Build thicker walls around "sensitive" levers, buttons and pressure plates (or make yet another poll asking for these to be "private")
- Use a coded language to use on signs that only your Guild can decipher.

Need I go on?

Minecraft is all about creativity. Embrace the challenges each new update brings and accommodate to them. Don't be lazy and expect Intelli to tailor the server to your needs.

Where'd you get this info from? I've just managed to do it twice on SSP.

EDIT: And also, having to surround a building that you want to temporarily seal off with water is 1. ugly (if the water is on the outside) and 2. waste of space (if the water is inside the walls).

Eah is right. Weather it be plates or signs. And V5 can wait. I'd rather wait 5 years for a game to be good than have a game be rushed and have it turn out like Mortal Kombat X on mobile. Though this can wait too. There's so few players on that being invaded by people with chorus fruit isn't a big threat. It's not lazy when you want to be safe or not make something overly big just protect yourself. Even if you couldn't teleport through water I don't want to drown my land just on the off chance that something of mine might be tampered with.

I voted yes.

This is just a matter of who likes what. Eah and many others like some privacy on things we build. And he's right, the only actual purpose of the fruit being used is just going to be to teleport and cause annoyance to players.

I would prefer not to have to build walls 8 blocks thick every time I want to keep something private.

Realistically (as a programmer), this would not be that hard to implement. Eah has even provided the pseudo code (not that Intelli needs it, I'm sure). ;)
