This is a debate of whether the Nether should be reset and how long between each reset.

Here are the pros and cons of every other selection:

-Daily:
Pros: adds constant excitement and makes it more fast paced and more materials.
Cons: No long term forts/structures and no planning or long wars

-1 Week:
Pros: Decent Build time while still being very fast.
Cons: Still no giant forts, or long term battles and Starts to become familiar.

-3 weeks:
Pros: Very good amount of build time and can have long wars.
Cons: everything becomes familiar making it less exciting.

-2 months:
Pros: Allows for colossal forts and more expanded construction across the nether.
Cons: Everyone knows the layout and where to go and becomes old after a week.

If we had no Nether resets we would run out of Lightstone.

Before I vote I need to know something. This "reset", would it generate a completely new map? From reading your explanations I am guessing so.

Also, how would we run out of glowsone? With each "reset" either the old duplicates itself or with a new map, more is generated!

That is an eventuality. The same could be said for any other mineral resource on Minecraft. Do we reset the map because there's no more clay? No.

Honestly, get intelli to run a cartograph of the nether. I assume well over 15,000 lightstone blocks are in the nether.

I think this might be a good idea, but not like everyday, maybe every few months, becuase the nether gets trashed...

Yes, it's 1250x1250, not too hard to find the edges.

It's 1/8th the size of the normal world, because travel in the nether map is 8x shorter than in the normal world, so if you were to build a portal on the edge of nether, you won't accidentally pop up outside the normal world's border and start glitching around.

Glowstone is just hard to get at this point. I guess in a while it would be a good idea.
