[REJECTED] no pvp at trade

There should not be pvp at trade because people carry items into trade they typically would not if they were willingly going into pvp or would have put away elsewhere. Likewise many players afk waiting for other players to return with their items or to collect items.

Assuming this is referencing the global nighttime PVP during the mist, trade would end up being used as a "safe room".

The point of global PVP is that it's global. There's nowhere to hide*. If you don't want to get killed at trade, don't go to trade.

There's plenty of time to "/home" when the mist starts if you're already in trade.

*Technically, there are plenty of places to "hide". However, there's no place you can go where the global PVP itself is disabled.

You can't be killed during the mist if you've been AFK for over 5 minutes.

How about a short heads-up before the mist is enabled?

"A dark mist is falling over the land. In 10 seconds, PVP will be enabled for the night."

How about we just do away with the mist because we don't need more pvp against our will?

I really don't think that's necessary or that it'd make a difference.

If you're really paranoid, just don't go to the trade room when it's evening/night on the server :D

It's actually really hard to die unless you are right at spawn. And does /home have a timer? At least it used to not have a timer..

You see the mist starting, go to your realm/house/plot and go mine under the protection of your property. The mist doesn't even last long either.

I got no idea why anyone would want this if they're not a griefer. People tend to think that griefing means breaking things people built in Minecraft, but that's just one thing that a griefer might do. Another thing would be engaging in "PVP" by killing some player who is minding their own business in a game about collecting resources and building things. The game has diamond armor, enchanted armor, potions of harming, potions of regeneration, and so on, such that PVP only even begins to start making sense when both parties agree to it.

Ahhhh that explains why I was insta-gibbed the very first time I logged onto the server. At first I was annoyed then I realized I'd just stepped into a free-for-all and waited it out. Good to know!
