I have realized recently that there is no way for you to know who has added you as a buddy unless they nag you about it, or you actually see their request in chat the first time. Which is a problem for me because I've had people add me while I'm afk and I can understand why it would be awkward for them to question me about why their friendly invitation went ignored. This also goes the other way. I've added people not realizing they werent online and they'll never know I sent the request unless I spam it later when I do catch them online.

My suggestion is simple. To the lists displayed when a user types "/buddy list", add a list underneath "unconfirmed" that reads "Requests" here would be the names of people that ever tried to add you as a buddy so you could know whether you missed something while you were afk or offline.

Pros:
-People wouldnt be second guessing their requests, makes buddy adding easier so that people offline or afk will see your requests when they log on or come back and check their /buddy list.

Cons:
-Coding
