A few things I would like to say before I get with the suggestion.
Recently, one of my friend's horse saddles, along with mine were stolen off our horses. Not sure about him, but I tend to use my horse quite a lot. Yes, saddles are somewhat easy to get, but it is still annoying to know somebody has gotten away with stealing your horse's saddle. That's the point of this thread.

I suggest making it so that only people belonging in the realm the horse is in can take it's Saddle off of it. That way, random people cannot stroll into private realms and steal people's saddles. If somebody lets their horse stroll around and it goes to a public realm, touch luck. Your fault for letting the horse roam.

OR

There could be a way to check interactions with horses, like the block logs or chest logs, a practical horse log. That way you can see who exactly stole your saddle, and see if they would give it back and if not, the ban hammer.

This is my first suggestion I've made, so please tell me what could need some improving, or what can be added or what should be removed. Thanks!

I can understand where you are coming from but there is no need for this. What you should do is to make sure your horses are locked up at night. Put them in a secure barn where no one can get or even enderpearl into.

If you are still having a problem, take the saddle off your horse at night and keep it in a chest right next to its stable (assuming your are in a private realm you own). Just make sure that no one has access to even see your horses unless you want them to.

1. it is stealing, and as far as I know, stealing is not allowed on minerealm, and

As far as I know, mobs (even in private realms), if not protected, are fair game. It is perfectly legal to kill mobs that are housed in private realms that belong to a person, assuming the killing does not involve some form of glitching or cheating. Even if the saddles of horses were protected, people would just kill the horse instead.

So if I parkour into someone's massive sheep farm through a one-block hole pre-existing in the roof (I have done so before, but to see what is inside) you are saying it is PERFECTLY LEGAL for me to slaughter his sheep because I didn't have to cheat or glitch into the building? Am I reading your post right? It's fine for people to walk into my chicken farm by going through my house, through a series of wooden doors, and kill every last one, because they didn't glitch through walls or cheat in any way? So that essentially makes anything fair game, unless you keep it in a completely solid box with realm member only steel doors. Thank you sir, now I realize that trusting anyone is fully out of the question. Allow me to escort all my animals to a belowground bomb shelter because people can't keep their hands to themselves in private realms.
