Hey everyone,

To reduce bursts of idiocy, I propose we implement a new rule that states that users can only create 1 topic in the ideas/suggestions forum per week.

Users who violate this would have all their topics immediately rejected, as they obviously shouldn't be creating suggestions in the first place.

Repeat offenders would be permanently blocked from posting in the forum.

A recent example of such activity can be seen here (all on the same day):

It's safe to say that people who make multiple suggestions at once aren't making them for the welfare of the server, but rather for their own entertainment.

Personally, I believe it would be more effective to do this individually, as there are some users who tend to make perfectly valid suggestions often, or in bursts. There are always going to be those who spam the forums with invalid nonsense, but I believe that there are few enough of these that it's worth the risk of allowing the current frequency of suggestions and censuring individual players based on the amount of spam they post instead.

Post an example then, of these high quality suggestions that have been posted in bursts.

Why did you link Roo's suggestions? Those had a very good formatting even though they were marked as invalid, I do not see idiocy but instead I see silliness. Why not link stupid and truly idiotic suggestions like some I made in the past or the "crishtmas day" one? I know I make stupid posts, but I have the freedom to express myself.

The key is to wait until your first suggestion is accepted/rejected before making a new suggestion.

I was actually about to make this exact suggestion.

That said; +1 for the sole reason that there are way too many suggestions lately, usually by the same few people.

BUT, they have been posted over and over again.

How will you implement this?

I like this suggestion. It limits the already consistent spam present on the forums.

If you don't want to see the idiocy, don't read the suggestion, easy as pie.
