Idea: Allow players to lock topics that they started, other than ban appeals where Staff would like full control.

Pro's: If flaming is beggining you can stop.
Forces auctions to die down.
May clear up the forum a bit more.

Con's If people have something valid to say they may not be able to post on it.


Now I beleive that staff can unlock topics, and post on locked ones. But please correct me if im wrong.

Yes. Useful if someone wants to end a forum auction or trade, and the fact that nearly every other forum uses a thread locker.

Sounds like something that would be abused.

You can request staff to lock your thread. No.

Nah, on the occasions when a truly idiotic thread shows up, we should have the chance to beat it into submission rather than let it die gracefully >:D

I voted no, but I would've voted yes if I didn't see other peoples' opinions.
I would've voted yes because of one reason:
1. Staff won't have to worry about locking threads
I voted no because I agree with Intelli, people could abuse this .

You could always start a flame war or discuss something sensitive to the server. That normally works to lock the thread.

I don't know what it's called. A Paradox maybe?

If this was implemented, i could lock this thread for negative votes.
But then because it was implemented it must have recieved positive votes.
But it hasnt. So i would like to lock it.

Confusing. But i know how it works.
