On the Minecraft Forums, signatures have the following two properties that ours do not:

1. You can scroll, which allows larger images to be viewable in signatures, and
2. Spoilered text doesn't count against the text limit (except for the [.spoiler][./spoiler]), meaning that people can put large amounts of text or pictures into their signatures without spamming or anything like that, and have it be easily viewable.

Anyway, I just thought these would be neat to have. Vote and discuss!

If you couldn't scroll, you wouldn't be able to see inside the spoilers, meaning that the second part would be pointless. That's the main reason I'm including these together.

Just for a purely aesthetic purpose, I'm gonna say no . I would hate to see tons of little scroll bars as I read the forums, and it's nice to force people to make a small and concise signature. If you wanted to make it long because (for example) you had a business or something and you wanted to make a large ad for it in your sig with prices and whatnot you could just make an image on your sig with your business logo, and have that link to your business thread when clicked.

Well signatures are supposed to be small, it's a signature. Think about when you sign for something, you sign your name - that's your signature.

The purpose of a signature on a forum is to make it easier for someone to find your posts while scrolling through a thread. Their purpose is NOT to draw attention away from that user's posts. So really signatures shouldn't be large and excessive, heck, I even think my signature is a bit excessive since I have four images and three links in it.


TL:DR I'm gonna say no to this one.
