More suggestions for you! And a much shorter suggestion this time.

Why not prevent new forum users from starting a new thread in the Staff Application section until their forum account is X amount of days old? They could reply to existing threads in this section, in case they want to support another user trying to become a staff member. But they would not be able to start a thread unless they have reached the required amount of days to do so. The "New Thread" button would be removed and replaced with a message stating that they could not create a thread until their forum account is X amount of days old.

I guess this doesn't really happen often, but I have noticed it somewhat recently. And it would keep unnecessary threads off the front page.

Now that I think about it, someone probably already suggested this. Well, if so, I'm bringing it back up. Thanks!

I love destroying nubs' dreams, so no.

But seriously, there haven't been so many that it's a huge issue, and I find them amusing. If you don't like them, ignore them. In addition, a lot of nubs probably wouldn't be able to figure out what was going on, and would further bug people about it, as compared to when they do make applications and people clearly explain to them why.

Also it requires coding, and as Intelli doesn't seem to have been coding for any of the scores of accepted suggestions lately, I don't want to further take up even a minute or two of free time that he could spend coding something more important.
