I find it extremely frustrating to not be able to add members to my realms when they are not online. Just a simple suggestion that will change the /realm member command to work even when they are offline. I'm not sure why this would not be allowed in the first place, so I apologize if there was some reason behind it that I don't know.

I see no downside to this other than it would likely require a decent bit of work on Intelli's part... (And we'd all love him (even more) for it)

By restricting the command to players that are currently online, the current system minimizes the risk that a typo in a player's name results in the wrong player being added to a realm. I think the inconvenience of being unable to add offline players outweighs this slight benefit, however. I'd be happy to see this change made, but perhaps to keep some of the check against typos, it could be made so that only players who have been on MR at some point in the past can be added.

Programming novice here, but it seems like it should actually be an easy enough change to make. As described in the OP, the idea should just require the removal of a check for whether the player is online. Or with my proposed modification, changing the check so that instead of looking for current online status, it looks for anything other than "has never played on MineRealm."

Yes.

I like this idea as well (supercreeper007, when are you online? Still trying to get permissions). Unfortunately, Rokkr suggested this may not be implemented in a past thread were this was suggested. I hope community support will allow the decision to be re-visited. A check where a player has connected to minerealm before as a requirement for giving permissions may be necessary (as has been suggested also). I will vote yes and hopefully it will be implemented without too much hassle on Intelli's/Rokkr's part. =-)
