[REJECTED] Allow All Posts/Topics To Be Edited

Idea: Allow all forum posts to be edited
Pros: Allows editing
Cons: May not be able to decide final text
What would it do:
This would allow people to change all their posts OR topics.

Does that mean all passt topics too? I suggested something similar to this and it was rejected.

What I'm not really seeing here is a good reason. Why should posts be able to be edited?
There's a set edit period for a reason. Particularly in the trading section, it would be possible to subtly trick people by extending the auction or changing information about the item. People would say "Wait, I thought the item was X?" or "I thought this ended today and now it's tomorrow, what happened?" The seller would be able to dodge most of this by saying "Just look at the thread, you probably misread it." Sure, staff members can see previous edits of posts but if edits can be done at any time, they will end up with much more work in that area as tons of people will be asking them to check previous edits of posts.
If you make a post and realize you made an error after the edit period, there is nothing wrong with posting again in order to correct your error.

Due to the outcome of this new duplicate topic, both are now being marked as rejected.

lol cube xD.
anyway, i know you could do this before but i don't know about now. a way to get around the timed edit button removal is to make your post an image which points to a location. then, when you want to change that post, just edit it on your own file and make the link point to that image instead. ofc doing this for auctions etc. would be bannable since you could change the item, ending price, etc. but for something like a
business post that would need to be constantly updated this would be practically mandatory.

Shouldn't this be invalid, and thus have no impact on the other suggestion?

I think it is only marked 'invalid' when it is a duplicate of an already accepted/rejected suggestion or it is one that requires a primary action that cannot be done by Intelli (through coding).
