[REJECTED] Suggestion: Veteran Tags

There have been many topics about custom tags etc. in the past but this one is for a specific tag.
Donors get their donor tag, which I currently have

, but I think that veterans should get a veteran tag. This happened in the past for a short period of time, but I think it should be made more permanent.
No custom tags for all, just one tag for those of us who have been here for over a year.
One benefit of this is new players will see the veteran tag and will know that we have more experience on this server and possibly will listen to us more.
I cant foresee any downsides to this.
Please show your support.
Also LARDIMUS_PRIME for staff 2013!

It makes the chat look messy and unprofessional. We already have yellow, purple, green, white, red and blue text. I say no.

The same reason as custom tags and the reason why Mod/Admin is now Staff. Intelli wanted to minimize the colors in chat and minimize the tags used. The whole reason the Vet tag was removed before was because it was basically a giant wall of green text and was bad on the eyes.

What about a purple asterisk instead of a tag?

What Rokkr said. I feel like enough people are vets that having a veteran tag wouldn't be a huge distinction, it would just clutter chat with tags.

When the vet tag was added before probably 60-70% of players were vets, now we have a constant stream of new players and a lot less vets. The problem would possibly not be as bad as last time. With people coming and going the vet to non vet ratio would stay fairly balanced.
We currently have
[staff]
[donor]
<help bot>
[Server]
+ for new players
One new tag not necessarily a new colour, could be same as donor's colour. Would not make a huge difference to the clutter in chat.

Chat is already cluttered. You mentioned, Staff, Donor, Help Bot, Server and the green tick... Throw into the mix, Guild, Buddy, Private message and a few other things for us Staff Members, it's hectic.

Well, I ask of you Intelli, can we have a trial run again of the veteran tag to see if it does clutter up chat.

Staff reads our private messages

There are more vets now. The percentage of players who are veterans may be lower, but that is due to the larger number of players. For example, say previously that 50% of 80 players on the server were vets, that's 40 people. Figure now that only 35% of people are vets, but if the server is at 120 or so as it has been during high periods, that's still 42 people.
Also, chat is generally more cluttered now than it was then. There are more messages per minute or per any time unit you want to use. If there's a veteran tag, something like 3/4 of the people who are active in chat would have some kind of tag. Think about it: New people with a + are triggering question responses from HelpBot. Donors and veterans are having their normal conversations. Staff are chatting in response to staff requests, not to mention being involved in the general conversation. The people who don't chat often are those who haven't been on the server as long and haven't made many friends yet, but know their way well enough to not need to ask questions too often. That would include most people without a veteran tag, leaving most people actually using the public chat with a tag of some sort, making it appear cluttered.
