[INVALID]Expand nether on wilderness side

I made this suggestion, and the options were add now. Wait till 1.5 when the nether ore is added in then implement this, and no. The option wait till 1.5 won. Considering 1.5 is coming out very soon with new nether ores, I thought I'd repost this.

In principle I like the suggestion but if you want to properly introduce nether quartz you'll need a larger area of nether than the wilderness can produce.

The wilderness is 10k*2k, the resulting nether will be 1250*250. On top of that, the part that is by the current border has already been generated and will not contain nether quartz.

Plus what you (BSG) said in a different thread, an area that size would be mined out completely in less than a week.

I voted yes. This seems like the only practical way to introduce quartz. I already see a problem though. This expansion would only be 250 blocks deep if it starts and ends where it would correctly correspond to the overworld wilderness border. Imagine that chaos if it's full pvp like the rest of the nether...

My solution to this: expand the nether wilderness (I like to call it "Netherness") back much further, by about 500-1000 blocks. Then, make it like the wilderness, but opposite! Pvp is off, you take half damage but portals still don't work.

Yeah that occurred to me, to just make nether pvp the total opposite of nether pvp. So in wilderness-nether pvp is off. That would be very helpful considering how many people are going to be mining there at once.
