Pretty straight forward. A leaderboard for each persons placed/mined blocks. I think this would be an awesome feature added to the game.

Pros: motivation to get to a certain goal, seeing who works really hard, check progression amongst players

cons: coding, maybe showing credits? as it could be divided by 2 to give a basis of wealth if a player

but overall I would love to see this implemeted

This seems like the main issue--at least if the rankings are to be determined retroactively (i.e. counting the activity from before the rankings were implemented). IIRC the block logs are purged after a few months to avoid tying up storage space. Seems feasible to do if we all start at 0 and begin counting only after implementation.

Doesn't seem like a major issue to me. True, it would show all of the credits a player had gained from placing and breaking blocks, but that's a far cry from showing their current wealth for two reasons. First, it would not give any consideration to their expenses, whether in trades to other players or in realm purchases. Second, it would not consider sources of income other than placing/breaking blocks (i.e. trade income, lottery winnings, awards from the short-lived new player greeting system).



tl;dr +1 because it's kinda cool and the cons are minimal

Why not just have a list that shows the following for a certain player?

Player name: cubeguy314
Total blocks broken: -5
Total blocks placed: Over 9000
Total credits earned: 2
Total credit ranking: 1920083

Player name: Redkiller123
Total blocks broken: 9001
Total blocks placed: 8999
Total credits earned: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
Total credit ranking: 1

And the list goes by alphabetical order, so it's easier to find a player, or the list could be toggled so it can also be by ranking.

This would be cool. It'd give great insight into the server economy - a server GDP.

Or even do it like the pvp rankings: ranks based on all of time (starting from implementation, as stated earlier) and ranks based on blocks placed/removed in the last week/month.

you are all sayin redkiller is #1, there might be competition with grolpesh. Grolpesh im pretty sure has dug the most blocks on the entire server

I would like to see this stats just out of pure curiosity.
