I was just thinking this because we all know rails are a common greifable block. Especially in the nether. I think have minerails will save staff and the common players TONS of time. Before you jump to it rails unlike blocks cant really be used to greif somones build. I think his would be an awesome feature.

This would save a lot of trouble. Whenver I use Eff IV in the nether I wind up breaking a bunch of ralis accidently, so it would be good for that also.

What do you mean they can't be used to grief?

I mean unlike cobble, or dirt etc. Minerails arent used for greifing.

While I like the idea of having some kind of grief protection in the nether for rails, I don't know if this is the right way to do it. Since if someone is placing rails and accidentally misplaces one, if it's protected how would they take it up? Or if someone wanted to modify/improve the rail line, they would not be able to take up what is there. It's not a bad idea, I just think the details need to be flushed out before I personally would be able to support it.

I was thinking the person who places the rail can destroy them.

I was thinking maybe a radius around a minerail is also protected. So the left and right barrier will remain intact aswell as the block the rail sits on.
