[REJECTED] 5-second delay before activation of Nether PVP

After seeing some people on the POV of PVP thread mentioning the possibility of a portal ring to prevent extreme to the point of ridiculous Nether camping, I thought of this. This would not entirely stop camping, but it would at least give people a chance to orient themselves, making it relatively fair, as in comparison to people being insta-killed before they even know what's going on. There's always the possibility of making the delay longer or shorter. In addition, this would solve a problem with the portal ring idea—namely, that of people dashing in there to regenerate their health in the middle of a fight. I believe it would also require less coding. Well, what are you waiting for? Post your thoughts, and vote!

The person who comes into the nether would then have an advantage of the person on the otherside, 5 seconds is abit too long.

Would 2.5 seconds be better?

Why not a pvp protection ring? When you step out of it, pvp is enabled. When you're in it, pvp will take 5 seconds to disable.

This is simpler and (I think) easier to code.

You can easy sustain for 5 seconds while you pvp disables.

This is a good idea, but then you'll have a bunch of people sitting in the sanctuary area waiting for somebody to walk out. If the protected area you stand in is about 10 blocks diameter. You can't see anything outside the boundaries until you step out. This would reduce the tendency for a group to essentially group up and gang bang a certain player outside the boundaries. I don't want to get too crazy as this thread isn't about this particular idea, maybe this should be suggested instead.

Yes, yes. I believe that the initial purpose of this whole suggestion in general is so that players don't get ambushed upon entry into the nether and can at least prepare themselves or flee if they wish, to escape any ambush. Sure, people will just camp the on the outside of the ring, but at least no one will be unfairly ambushed.
