Problem: As part of Operation Op there is an influx of newbies who need guidance.
Idea: Create a Newbie Guide position for members of Minerealm willing to help sheppard our young ones along the path of becoming full Minerealm citizens.
- o This position could be limited to a few players chosen by staff or even by player vote.
o Players who are given this position would be those willing to help out newbies with questions and give guidance.
o To help newbies recognize these guides in chat they should have a tag. (ie "[Guide]")
o Optionally, a /guide command should be created that lists the guides current online and/or willing to help out newbies.
Watching MrKeveCool help out some newbies inspired me to post this idea.

Good question, in my mind there are two reasons.
A) To help players find people willing to provide help other than staff.
B) Recognize those willing to put in the effort with a tag.
I'm not sure if anyone actually wants this position, but if so, why not?

I understand what you're doing here, but I'm not sure if Intelli would want to implement something like this, given the fact that that it's merely aesthetic. It's an intriguing idea; I simply don't know if it's necessary.

Or you could, you know, help people, without a tag.

Be a good member of the community, and just help people out.
Just cause. :p

In addition, it isn't very difficult to type answers to a player's questions in the chat box. If you're willing to take the extra time, you can go to spawn and give them a tour and a details on what Minerealm is and what one can do on Minerealm. Not only do you do a good deed and help a new player, but you've also earned yourself a potential friend and supporter.

. Along with helping the player, you also provide a positive first impression of Minerealm and will earn a new member for the whole community to welcome and spend time with and befriend. Then the new player's first impression will lead that player to spread the news that "there's a really cool Minecraft server that
play on. The people there are really friendly." and he/she will share the ip with all of his/her Minecraft friends. Honestly, I couldn't ask for any more than their satisfaction and enjoyment.
