So considering Intelli tower is getting a facelift, I thought it would be cool to replace the stairs with an elevator.

This would mostly serve as an amusement to newcomers to see spawn city while on a ride of sorts

PROS
-fast, efficient way to get on top of Intelli Tower
-attraction for newbs that shows off spawn city with a joyride
-Make Intelli Tower a more popular hangout
-greater first impression of MineRealm (I know the first thing I did in MineRealm was climb the tower. Who DOESN'T want to fly up that thing? XD)

CONS
-lag
-lots of work, materials, and manhours
-lots of whining
-more whining
-whininggggg

I know this will probablly be shot down faster then a Taylor Swift acceptance speech, but I DON'T CARE! XD

This would be fantastic, but the lag involved would probably be substantial. Worse yet, it would need to be reconfigured after the Redstone Update, when "most of the timings of redstone contraptions will change."

In light of that I'm against it too

My guess is that this thread was put in the Ideas/Suggestions section where it doesn't belong. Ideas/Suggestions are for server/website development. This belongs in Communities. But don't bother making another thread.

Elevators have been known to not work properly in multiplayer. They sometimes need additional delay and even then will never work. I recommend you build a replica of the elevator on minerealm and test it out. Check the dimensions of Intelli's tower, see if it fits. And above all, PM Intelli about it. I'd hate to see you spend time on it, when he would rather have stairs.

Personally, I'd rather have the stairs. It gives more reward when you reach the top.

I would happen to think the reason this got [Invalid] is because on the poll, users can select two options whereas they should only be allowed to select one on this type of poll.

Torn you have two options right now but I can't tell you either of them because it's against the rules. And I'm sorry I forgot to read the manuel for this thing, I have too much euthiasm for my own good it seems. As I said before, I'm against it myself now so if you would all kindly remove yourselves from MY invalid suggestion, I would appreciate it.
