Previously, you could chat with people In Game as well as on the Forums via the Forums at the bottom of the page.

I think this would be nice to have back, it means you don't have to be in game to chat to everyone!

What do people think?

I miss this feature really. helped out when your trying to convey info in the forums to someone in-game. Even if it wasn't for that, it was still fun.

Perhaps we should only make it accessible to non-banned players?

It was a pretty good system.

What about the previously banned players who come onto the chat to spam and cause trouble? There would have to be some sort of filter to keep out banned players, which is a lot of coding Im sure. Other than that, I'd love this.

I think then the simplest way is only to allow verified players to chat and through that can filter the banned and not banned.

Good idea, id like to be able to talk to some banned players. Like gir_loves_tacos

Well, considering that the forums keeps track of banned players and prevents them from accessing the private messages, the coding shouldn't be too different. I think the most difficult part (if it is difficult at all) would be to just connect the public chat to the forums.

Oh God, do this please. I often can't go on MineRealm, whether it's because I haven't enough time to actually do anything, or because my computer is lagging, or because I'm on a computer that doesn't support MineRealm, or because I'm lost in the nether and haven't got the time to find a way out. This would be SO AWESOME.
