Most PG movies use it honestly not considered a curse to many.

That is a good point. However, unlike PG Movies, Minerealm has absolutely no warning that such words could be used. As such, a child of a rather strict religious family would unknowingly walk straight into someone saying "GOD DAMN IT, I HATE LAVA!" or something along those lines. 'Damn' is considered quite a strong word to some strictly religious peoples.

May sound like I'm trolling, and I know it's a damn annoyance (aha, geddit?), but I'm just making this potential viewpoint known.

But I personally take no offence from this.

YES damn it already, take it out of the swear filter

I don't think it'd be wise to start using the word before it's removed from the Swear List.

It's still considered a swear word to me... And while I wouldn't mind being able to say it myself, this is still a family friendly server. If I have a problem with it and my IRL friends and family have a problem with it, then I'm sure many others have a problem with it too. If you want to swear, go to a server that does not have a swear filter.

Also, children watching TV don't pick it up the same way they might in a video game.

Darn and dang are suited substitutes.

I've suggested this in the past along with a few other people and for those reasons I doubt it'll be accepted this time.

Seriously, I don't think it's really a expletive. I don't consider it such. I know that it can even be used as a normal word (the souls of the damned come back to haunt the living).
