As far as I know, mobs (even in private realms), if not protected, are fair game. It is perfectly legal to kill mobs that are housed in private realms that belong to a person, assuming the killing does not involve some form of glitching or cheating. Even if the saddles of horses were protected, people would just kill the horse instead.

So if I parkour into someone's massive sheep farm through a one-block hole pre-existing in the roof (I have done so before, but to see what is inside) you are saying it is PERFECTLY LEGAL for me to slaughter his sheep because I didn't have to cheat or glitch into the building? Am I reading your post right? It's fine for people to walk into my chicken farm by going through my house, through a series of wooden doors, and kill every last one, because they didn't glitch through walls or cheat in any way? So that essentially makes anything fair game, unless you keep it in a completely solid box with realm member only steel doors. Thank you sir, now I realize that trusting anyone is fully out of the question. Allow me to escort all my animals to a belowground bomb shelter because people can't keep their hands to themselves in private realms.

That seems like a good solution to me, I really don't have much say here, I am no longer in possession of animals (as I just realize, probably due to the problem at hand). So steel doors don't sound that difficult of a solution to enter an enclosed structure.

Huh. I always thought slaughtering animals that clearly belonged to someone else was against the rules. Good thing mine are already in an underground bomb shelter, as Meow put it.
On a note that's not off-topic, stealing is against the rules. If there's a way to log it, they should. The logic of "just take it off and put it in a chest" doesn't hold up if you look at it for more than two seconds. However, if there simply isn't a way to log it, then I'd imagine you'd have to resort to chests. Until then, I don't see why they'd stop further developing the already existing extensive logging system to include animal inventories.

Oh, only 2 and a half years.
And it shouldn't be legal to steal someone else's property, in this case the parts salvaged from their animals.
It's still stealing, just a murder-theft.
Same with horses- it's still stealing, so it shouldn't be permitted.

Oh, I knew it was allowed. I just think if you walk into an obvious home base then slaughter their food source/pets, you should still get in trouble.

I believe that I speak for everyone in public realms that it's unfair people can grief into your animal farm if you have one and slaughter all your mobs, but this isn't what the thread is about. This is about not griefing saddles from horses, or taking from their chests.
